EXCALION Prepare To Enter Studio

April 25, 2006

Finnish symphonic power metallers EXCALION will enter Watercastle studios in early May to begin recording the follow-up to 2005's "Primal Exhale", due later in the year via Sound Riot Records. "The new material will rock HARD!" the band write on their web site. "The music style of the album will be a combine of '80s metal and the EXCALION you've heard on the debut album. Great melodies and vocal lines will be very much appreciated and the new guitarist Vesa will do his first appearance in the band. Like on the debut album, there will be a Finnish[-language] song [on the new CD]. Some of the songtitles are: 'Soaking Ground', 'The Wingman', 'I Failed You', 'Streams Of Madness' and 'Losing Time'."

Described as a blend of NIGHTWISH and STRATOVARIUS, "Primal Exhale" was recorded and mixed at Watercastle studios and was mastered at The Digital Audio in U.K. (ROYAL HUNT, RING OF FIRE, LAST TRIBE). Cover artwork duties were handled by C.A. Interactive (MORIFADE, AXENSTAR, SUPREME MAJESTY).
